Student's Rag Day I.

A costumed grammar school students´ procession will pass through the town into Brewery gardens during the Students´ Rag Day. Individual classes will present in the gardens and the 2014 King and Queen of the Day will be declared.
The starting point of the procession will be the Český Krumlov Grammar School at 11 am. Processional route: Fialková Street – Chvalšinská Street – Budějovická Gate – Latrán – 1st Castle courtyard – Castle stairs – Barber’s Bridge – Dlouhá Street – Široká Street – Na louži – stop at Svornosti Square – Radniční Street – Latrán – Nové město – Brewery gardens.

Chlapi v sobě is a recently established band from Český Krumlov linking experienced musicians with youthful energy and talent. It performs Czechoslovak pop and rock with the occasional trip to foreign shores but always with their own individual touch.
Band members and their instruments: Jan Palkovič – vocals, keyboard instruments; Martin Sam Korčák – vocals, acoustic and electrical guitars; Míra Bednář – vocals, bass guitar; Ivo Janoušek – keyboard instruments; Petr Špiroch – electric guitar, Martin Tvarkýř Tvaroh – drum instruments. Procession starts to form up at 8.15 pm. Processional route: Square – Široká Street – Latrán – Eggenberg brewery gardens. Procession will be accompanied by the Brass Orchestra of Artistic Elementary School Český Krumlov under Pavel Havlík. The events schedule continues in the gardens. Organization supported by Czech Women’s Association and Czech Red Cross.

At 2 pm:Festive opening of the exhibition Adreas Hartauer and the Anthem of Šumava
This travelling exhibition is organized in cooperation with the Prachatice Museum and is devoted to the Šumava region native and its great admirer who also authored the lyrics of the song “Tief drin im Böhmerwald – Deep in Šumava Region” which gets called the “Anthem of Šumava”. The exhibition presents a number of period documents and photographs. Visitors can also listen to several versions of the song. The exhibition continues until 1 June 2013.
