International Music Festival Český Krumlov 2020 welcomes top Czech artists

The 29th International Music Festival Český Krumlov is a traditional event taking places this year from 18 September to 3 October. The new additions to the event schedule include a concert by the Pavel Černoch, a tenorist of worldwide renown, and a Czech Evening with performances by singers Marek Ztracený, Ondřej G. Brzobohatý and Ondřej Ruml.

This year´s Festival motto is "Český Krumlov with Czech artists" as the originally invited artists from abroad could not come. Visitors can enjoy performances by exceptional Czech singers, instrumental soloists, orchestras, and chamber ensembles.

Ivo Kahánek, a notable contemporary pianist, will be one of the artists performing. The year 2020 is a successful one for him: he has been awarded the British BBC Music Magazine prize and recently also the domestic Anděl 2019 prize in the Classic category.

The Czech Philharmonic Orchestra has accepted our invitation and returns to the Festival after a long 16-year hiatus, joined by chief conductor Semyon Bychkov. Other events to look forward to include a concert by violoncellist Jiří Bárta or an evening full of film melodies performed by North Bohemian Philharmonics Teplice.
