In addition to being the patron saint of the lands of Bohemia, Saint Wenceslas is the patron saint of brewers and winemakers, which is commemorated by the traditional autumn festivities offering a cultural as well as a rich gourmet experience. The pleasant atmosphere of the autumn festivities is augmented by the festival of folk ensembles and the Saint Wenceslas Fair. The cherry on top is certainly the unforgettable evening excursion to the town’s museums and galleries, garnished with an impressive accompanying programme.

Try the blacksmithing craft with your own hands and take a peek into his workshop and his living quarters. There are weaponry forging demonstrations such as the forging of St. Wenceslas sword and a possibility to try the St. Wenceslas helmet and take a picture. Fee applies.

The word bran means raven in Breton language. Raven is the messenger symbol in Celtic legends. Bran perform music based on traditional Breton folk music, ancient dances and songs of the sea. ST. WENCESLAS FAIRTALE CEREMONY
A fairytale twist on the St. Wenceslas; a poetic fairytale drama with music followed by the arrival of St. Wenceslas calling his armies. Attending children are knighted and become his soldiers in a battle against evil represented by a dragon. Evil is defeated by joining forces and St. Wenceslas prevails. Prepared by the Cultural Educational Center Pansofie with parents and their children.
